Safety and Wellbeing
The safety and security of your child is of utmost importance to us.
Please support us with this by bringing your child into their room, settling them and passing on any important information you feel staff might need to know.
Make sure that we know who will be collecting your child and that we have met them beforehand. We can also set up a safe password system for you. Please remember we can only hand over your child to an adult (someone whom we know is over 16 years old).
If you have access through our main security door, please ensure you do not let anyone through with you. They too need to use the video intercom to gain access. Everybody who comes into the centre needs to ring the bell in order to alert staff they have arrived. Staff need to know who’s on the premises at all times. This is for the safety of our children.
Please hold your child’s hand when entering and exiting the centre, making sure gates are closed behind you. It only takes a second for a child to run through an open gate into the road.
If your child attends our Early Years Care you also need to ensure that you sign your child in and out (stating who will be collecting child and at what time).
Always use the pedestrian gate. The car park is for staff and visitors who require an accessible parking space. Please ensure that you close the gate behind.
Please do not use your mobile phone within the centre, if you need to make a call or text you must do this in the reception area only.
Use of phone cameras or video is not permitted in the building. If you wish to take photographs of your child within the setting, please discuss this with your child’s key person or the Headteacher.
